What is Hippa?
Hippa is a live, location-based mobile game where you and your friends are both hunter and prey in the real world.
Where can I play?
You can play Hippa anywhere you have GPS coverage and feel safe walking around. It works best in cities, on campuses and in parks.
Do I need mobile data?
Yes. Hippa uses your location and the live map while you play, so you need a mobile data plan that covers the play area.
How many players does it work with?
Hippa is fun from 3 players and works great for larger groups, company outings and team activities.
Is Hippa free to play?
Yes, Hippa is free to play. At the end of a game you can optionally leave a small donation.
What about privacy?
We only collect the minimal data needed to play a game — no private data required. We never share or sell your data to third parties, and game and user data are automatically deleted after 90 days. All services and data live in Europe and are GDPR protected. For more info see our privacy policy
Do I need an account?
No account needed. Just download the app, create a game, invite friends with a join code and play anonymously.
Who are the people behind Hippa?
We're two guys from Deventer, the Netherlands. Our goal is to build a fun app that gets kids — and grown-ups too — out of the house for a good time.
